Liam Payne’s upcoming Netflix series Building the Band is apparently on hold following the singer’s terrible death.
The as-yet unaired UK-based music competition show aimed to create the next great music group based on musical compatibility and merit, with none of the members having met before joining the band.
“Netflix will sit down with Liam’s family when the time is right to speak about the series and when it could be released,” according to a Sunday report in the US.
“There is no rush to release the series. It would simply be a magnificent homage to Liam, capturing him at his peak in the months preceding his death.”
Payne was a mentor on the show, alongside Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls and Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child. The host is Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean.

Filming ended at Manchester’s Aviva Studios in August, although no release date has been set.
On October 16, Payne died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after falling from the CasaSur Palermo Hotel’s balcony.
A preliminary toxicology investigation of his body revealed that the former One Direction singer had several substances in his system at the time of death.
