Rachael Lillis, well known for portraying Misty, Jessie, and Jigglypuff in the “Pokémon” franchise, has died, according to her sister, Laurie Orr.

The renowned singer died quietly in her sleep Saturday evening, having battled breast cancer. Laurie, who announced the news on the GoFundMe page set up for her sister’s care, stated that she was unable to be by Rachael’s side when she passed away, but assured fans that RL died “without pain.”

She added… “It wasn’t until this week that she began to decline. This was absolutely unexpected, and we are in deep grief. We ask for peace for the time being while her family mourns this loss.”

Rachael’s “Pokémon” co-star Veronica Taylor, who famously portrayed Ash Ketchum in the beloved animation, paid tribute to the late star on Monday via Instagram.

In a heartfelt statement to fans, Veronica explained how their love and support supported Rachael through her cancer treatment.

She continued… “I was fortunate enough to have Rachael as a friend. She had boundless warmth and compassion, even at the very end.”

Rachael was well-known in the anime world, having voiced characters in films and TV episodes such as “Hunter × Hunter: The Last Mission,” “Berserk: The Golden Age Arc,” “Sonic X,” “Animation Runner Kuromi,” and “Guardian of Darkness.” She also worked in the “Pokémon” franchise.

She was 46 years old.
