50 Cent collaborates with Lionsgate to establish a new free, ad-supported streaming (FAST) channel offering over 20,000 action titles and more than a dozen films starring 50 Cent himself.

Curtis Jackson, better known as rapper, actor, and television producer 50 Cent, and his G-Unit film and TV production label are teaming up with Lionsgate to develop a new free, ad-supported streaming television channel (FAST).

50 Cent Action will appeal to a large audience of action fans, thanks to Lionsgate’s collection of over 20,000 films, which includes Rambo, The Expendables, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and over a dozen titles starring Jackson himself. The channel will also air the original “Power” television series, which launched the same-named universe and is executive produced by Jackson. In addition to “Power,” Jackson is an executive producer on Lionsgate and Starz’s criminal drama “BMF.”

Jackson, who has over 100 million social media followers, will work closely with Lionsgate to promote and curate the channel. 50 Cent Action will also include behind-the-scenes footage of the star.

“This is a natural extension of the work we’re doing at G-Unit Film and Television and G-Unit Studios,” Jackson told me. “This channel will deliver diverse, action-packed content to consumers worldwide, reflecting my passion for storytelling and offering a platform for new, exciting voices. I am looking forward to working closely with all of the FAST platforms to make this a successful channel.”

“50 Cent’s movies and television series are synonymous with non-stop action, and we’re thrilled to extend our longstanding partnership into the FAST space,” said Jim Packer, Lionsgate’s president of Worldwide Television Distribution. “Drawing from one of the biggest action libraries in the world, this channel will give 50’s global fan base a deep slate of action movies and television series while expanding his reach to new audiences worldwide.”

Lionsgate’s latest feather in its crown is 50 Cent Action, which includes over two dozen FAST channels throughout the world, including the Black audience-focused Ebony TV and MovieSphere, the first FAST channel to be Nielsen-rated.

50 Cent has sold over 30 million records worldwide and received numerous accolades, including a Grammy, a Primetime Emmy, 13 Billboard Music Awards, six World Music Awards, three American Music Awards, and four BET Awards.
