Ashanti and Nelly have officially become parents after giving birth to their first child together.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The singer announced the joyful news on Instagram, saying, “Funny how life’s plans aren’t always on time\u2026 lol.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She claims she has waited a long time to be a mother and is proud of her physique!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ashanti announced her pregnancy in April with a comedy skit starring her mother, Tina Douglas, entitled “Baby, baby, baby, baby” in an homage to her 2002 hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also announced their engagement at the same time, but TMZ revealed last month that they had actually been married months before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to public records, Ashanti and Nelly married on December 27, 2023, and it appears they said “I do” in Nelly’s homeland of St. Louis County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be honest, all of the baby news tallied up\u2014’cause Nelly was spotted stroking Ashanti’s belly in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a full-circle family moment for them; after reigniting their romance last year, they’re now recreating their glory days as two of music’s biggest names in the 2000s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
