Spotify revealed the new partnership on its website, but it provided no financial information. The Joe Rogan Experience podcast will now be available on YouTube, Amazon, and other platforms in addition to Spotify, according to a Wall Street Journal story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A representative for Spotify questioned the $250 million amount but declined to comment on the mechanics of the agreement. Rogan’s spokesperson wasn’t immediately reachable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement emphasizes Rogan’s success, since his podcast has maintained its top spot on Spotify since he signed a previous agreement with the music-streaming platform in 2020. According to Spotify, there has been a 232% rise in podcast consumption since Rogan joined the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the conspiracy theories and ideas expressed on his podcast, especially the anti-vax stance that was prevalent during the pandemic, have garnered criticism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched in 2009, The Joe Rogan Experience now has over 2,200 episodes, with each episode lasting two to three hours. Famous visitors have included Mike Tyson, Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Eddie Izzard, Dave Chappelle, Robert Downey Jr., Quentin Tarantino, Jewel, and Snoop Dogg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
