Earlier this week, Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, one of YouTube’s most prominent personalities, posted a 16-minute video on X titled “$1 Car vs $100,000,000 Car!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’m curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make, so I’m reuploading this to test it,” Donaldson wrote in the post, promising to publish the results next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donaldson released the identical car video to YouTube three months ago, and it has had over 211 million views. As of Tuesday, Donaldson’s X video has received 42.3 million views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His video post follows an argument between Donaldson and Musk in December, which sparked controversy over whether creators are welcome on X. When Musk encouraged the YouTuber to upload a video to X, Donaldson responded: “My videos cost millions to make, and even if they received a billion views on X, it would only cover a fraction of the cost. I’m willing to test things once monetization picks up!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
