The motorist, whose identity has not yet been made public, is the subject of an investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety, representatives informed TMZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver was brought to a hospital after the incident with non-life-threatening injuries; blood tests for drug and alcohol testing were performed, though it is unclear if the driver had displayed any signs of intoxication prior to the crash. The outcomes of the blood tests performed at the hospital will have to be subpoenaed by the investigators. The motorist will either be charged with careless driving or face other penalties based on the scene analysis and eyewitness statements. The Dodge Ram, which was traveling westward, crashed into her car head-on when it attempted to overtake someone on Highway 62, instantly killing her.
