50 Cent asserts In 2007, Shaniqua Tompkins sold G-Unit Books the exclusive rights to her life story.
According to paperwork obtained by AllHipHop, 50 Cent’s publishing business has sued Shaniqua Tompkins, his ex-girlfriend, for allegedly promoting tell-all content online. The action is against the terms of a 2007 contract she signed with the label, G-Unit Books. According to 50, she surrendered the exclusive rights to her life narrative for $80,000 as part of the agreement, along with future income.

A number of social media video interviews are at the heart of the lawsuit. She talks about her relationship with 50 Cent and their son, Marquise, in them. She claims that 50 was abusive throughout their relationship and abused her while she was pregnant.

According to the complaint, Tompkins has frequently and willfully taken advantage of the very rights she granted to G-Unit Books, “capitalizing on her recent notoriety from a ‘viral’ post commenting on testimony in the high-profile ‘Diddy’ trial.”
“Tompkins’ behavior was intentional—she specifically cited the very agreement she breached while she actively breached it, stating that it was something that was ‘going to have to be worked out legally,'” continues 50’s attorney, Reena Jain.
Jackson bought these rights in part to protect them for use in upcoming autobiographical or biographical works, but he also did it because he was worried that Tompkins would try to make money out of their past and his name. In the end, his worries were validated,” Jain adds.

In the case, 50 Cent demands that Tompkins take down and cease promoting the content in question, pay $1 million in damages, and reimburse G-Unit Books for any losses incurred as a result of the violations. Furthermore, he is asking her to pay for the entire ordeal’s legal costs.
People claims that 50 Cent and Shaniqua Tompkins had sporadic relationships during the 1990s. Their romance ended long before his first studio album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’, brought him international renown. In October 1996, Marquise, their only son, was born. Following their separation, the two became embroiled in a protracted custody dispute that wasn’t officially resolved until October 2008.
