TMZ has learned that Robin Kaye, an award-winning music supervisor on “American Idol,” and her husband, Thomas Deluca, were the victims of a horrific double murder. Kaye was discovered dead inside her Los Angeles home.
According to our law enforcement sources, the couple’s dead were found inside their Encino home on Monday after LAPD police arrived for a welfare check.
According to reports, police discovered Robin and Thomas possibly shot after smashing a window to enter the house after spotting blood at the front entrance. At the scene, they were both pronounced dead.
According to our sources, a double homicide investigation is underway into the tragedy.

Interestingly, police were called to the house on Thursday after an unidentified person was spotted attempting to enter and possibly carrying a gun. According to the neighbors, someone contacted the police after spotting someone jumping a fence; when the policemen arrived, they did not discover any evidence of criminal activity.
Officers informed neighbors that family members had not heard from the couple in four days during a welfare check on Monday. Who requested the welfare check is unknown.

Based on her IMDB biography, Robin was the music supervisor for ‘Idol’ for at least 15 seasons. Her work on the show earned her several Guild of Music Supervisors Awards. In addition, she oversaw the music for “Lip Sync Battle” and several other programs.
After doing some research, we discovered that the house where Robin and Thomas resided had once belonged to the late rapper Juice WRLD.
We contacted “American Idol” but have not heard back as of yet.
