In the fictional town Levi’s and Nike created to promote their latest collaboration of denim outerwear and Air Max 95s, the paperboy still delivers the morning newspaper by bike (with a cannon arm, by the way), and the neighbor out walking her dog happens to be WNBA Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers.
For their next joint collection, which will be released in July, the brands will release a special edition of the Nike Air Max 95 constructed from Levi’s denim in neutral matte white, black, and indigo denim, as well as a full-on Canadian tuxedo built from the Levi’s x Nike Trucker Jacket and matching Baggy Jean. Levi’s sneakers with Nike, like their trousers, have a single Levi’s Red Tab under the Nike Swoosh on the right shoe. The jacket features a large Nike wordmark and Swoosh logo lockup in white on the back, as well as co-branded brown leather patches.

The environment Levi’s and Nike imagined for the collection is delightful yet difficult to locate. Promotional photographs and social media posts featuring Bueckers, hip-hop singer Larry June, NFL athlete Keon Coleman, and designer Daniel Buezo depict a combination of rural country, Midwest suburb, and deep South. The local BBQ business is set up like a roadside, hole-in-the-wall treasure that attracts diners from all around, and the Blue Arc County emblem depicts an evergreen tree line, evoking Nike’s Oregon roots. It’s Anywhere, USA, was created to promote two renowned American companies at a time when the heartland look is gaining popularity.

This is not Nike’s first effort into “jeakers” with Levi’s. In 2012, they collaborated on a Nike SB x Levi’s 511 Skateboarding Collection, and in 2019, Levi’s released Nike Air Force 1s. However, their 2025 collaboration has lighter-wash denim for the jacket and jeans, as well as a lower-profile shoe that seems less like a novelty than previous attempts. It’s a simple capsule, but they got the details correct.

The news came immediately before Nike released its quarterly profits on June 26. The company predicted a sales fall early this year, and its planned NikeSkims debut has been postponed, but a highly awaited collaboration with the denim brand is welcome news.

Levi’s parent firm, Levi Strauss, exceeded forecasts earlier this year, and CEO Michelle Gass stated on the company’s April earnings call that new products were “resonating and driving market share gains.” She also mentioned a “robust product pipeline” that she believes will drive development in the company’s denim and nondenim businesses through 2026.
