First Hollywood celebrity to receive an official audience with the newly elected pontiff, the celebrated actor visited with Pope Leo XIV.

Pope Leo XIV has granted Al Pacino his first official audience, making him the first prominent Hollywood celebrity to do so.

On Monday, the pontiff was visited by the protagonist of Serpico and The Godfather at the Vatican.

Maserati: The Brothers, a biopic about the automobile moguls who influenced the luxury sports car industry, is presently being filmed in Italy by the veteran actor, 85. The film stars Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, and Jessica Alba.

“We are delighted to inform you that a delegation from the film ‘Maserati: The Brothers,’ which includes Oscar-winning actor Al Pacino and the film’s producer Andrea Iervolino, was granted a private audience with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the Holy See this morning,” Iervolino stated in a statement.
