R. Kelly continues to assert that his life is in serious danger while incarcerated. He now claims that Bureau of Prisons employees at his federal facility in North Carolina intentionally gave him too much medication, resulting in an overdose that sent him to the hospital.

According to a court document filed Monday by his lawyer, Beau B. Brindley, R. Kelly was hospitalized bedridden on the evening of June 12 after being told to take more medication by a solitary confinement staff member.

The Pied Piper reportedly woke up the following morning feeling lightheaded and faint, and when he tried to stand up, he collapsed to the ground, “crawled to the door of the cell and lost consciousness.”

After that, he was brought to Duke University Hospital, where he says he overheard a prison guard expressing regret. “This is going to open a whole new can of worms.”

Kelly says he discovered he was given a dose of his prescription medication that could have killed him during his two-day hospital stay.

In addition, Kelly says in his Monday complaint that prison officials denied him access to essential blood thinner medicine and are now preventing him from having a doctor-recommended operation to remove blood clots in his lungs and legs that are endangering his life.

Rather, they have him imprisoned in solitary confinement, where Kelly has told his attorney that he believes he will either be killed or let to perish.

Therefore, claiming that his life depends on it, the disgraced music mogul is requesting, for the third time, a temporary release from home detention.

Kelly’s request was promptly answered by prosecutors, who claimed that he consistently presents himself as the victim and added, “This is the behavior of an abuser and a master manipulator on display.”

Additionally, according to the response, Kelly chooses to “write to let this Court know that he is ‘cold’ in prison, and to criticize the medical care that he is receiving” in order to turn his situation “into a grocery store checkout aisle tabloid.” Kelly knowingly submitted an action to a court that has no jurisdiction over his case.

Kelly’s most recent filing was made barely one week after his legal team requested that he be released immediately because of a thwarted murder-for-hire conspiracy against him. In a sworn declaration provided by his team, Mikeal Glenn Stine, a member of the Aryan Brotherhood group and another prisoner, stated that he was given parole from the clink in exchange for killing the singer.

According to the petition, Stine initially knew about the scheme but then changed his mind and told Kelly about it. But according to Kelly, another Aryan Brotherhood member has been asked to remove Stine and himself.

As you are aware, Kelly was found guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking in 2021 and is currently serving a three-decade prison sentence.

Even though he has only been incarcerated for a few years, he claims that they are doing a lot to him—and not in a good way.
