The Trump family is introducing the T1, a Trump-branded phone that they say will be manufactured in America, as well as a mobile network called Trump Mobile.
Trump Mobile claims that their “The 47 Plan,” which costs $47.45 a month, provides the same coverage as the three major carriers. Although it may be used with current phones, the company also offers a $499 T1 phone with a gold finish if you’d like.
It is “a sleek, gold smartphone engineered for performance and proudly designed and built in the United States,” according to a press release from Trump Mobile. Depending on whether you trust the press announcement or the Trump Mobile website, it will either be available from August 2025 or September 2025. You may preorder it now for $100.

The phone itself has dubious details. There is what looks to be a Photoshopped image of a brushed gold phone with the US flag and “T1” logo on the back on the product page. At first sight, the triple camera arrangement looks identical to that of the most recent iPhone Pro models, but the lenses are oddly placed apart, and there doesn’t seem to be a camera flash.

A processing section that does not identify a processor, RAM that is referred to as storage, and the brag of a “5000mAh long life camera,” which most likely refers to the battery, are just a few of the many mistakes on the page.

Although there is no mention of a chipset, it is expected to run Android 15 and have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone port, a 5,000mAh battery, and a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz OLED panel. Although the cameras don’t sound impressive—a 50-megapixel primary camera with only 2-megapixel macro and depth sensors on either side—the specification sheet isn’t bad. Not even an ultrawide exists.

According to Trump Mobile’s online Terms of Use, the network is “powered by Liberty Mobile,” a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) with a freedom theme that makes use of the T-Mobile network. In addition to unlimited data, texting, and phone calls, the 47 Plan offers Drive America roadside assistance and a round-the-clock telemedicine service. Similar coverage and cell service should be provided to other MVNOs on the T-Mobile network, such as US Mobile, Metro, and Mint Mobile, which have less expensive unlimited plans than Trump.
Eric Trump stated on Fox News that “Trump Mobile is going to revolutionize cellphones, mobile calling,” before implying that the business would operate a call center in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Trump Organization, which is presently run by Donald Trump’s children and serves as the primary holding company for the majority of his businesses, revealed the new endeavor today. The statement follows the appearance of a trademark application for the terms “Trump” and “T1” in the telecom, mobile accessory, and phone industries.

There may be issues with Trump’s mobile network rollout. How FCC chairman Brendan Carr will manage overseeing a network controlled by his boss’s family is one of the first questions.
There are other public figures who have their sights set on telecoms besides the Trumps. Although Ryan Reynolds has since sold his interest in Mint Mobile to T-Mobile in 2023, SmartLess Mobile, which is brought to you by the podcast of the same name and is hosted by Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes, was just launched last week.
