A week after suffering a stabbing, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” star Eduardo Xol passed suddenly. TMZ has acquired knowledge.
The coroner for Riverside County tells TMZ… Palm Springs, California resident Xol passed away at Desert Regional Medical Center on Thursday afternoon, September 19. To TMZ, Xol’s mother also attested to his passing.
The television personality gained popularity for his work on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” when he was cast in the second season of the reality show. Early in his career, he also starred in several telenovelas, such as “Acapulco, cuerpo y alma,” “Sentimientos Ajenos,” and “La Jaula de Oro.”

The star was found in an apartment after he called for assistance, according to police, who are currently investigating a recent stabbing that occurred. Xol passed away during this inquiry.
The Palm Springs Police Department reports that upon finding Xol, they found him seriously injured. It is said that he had been stabbed, while the identity of the assailant remained unknown.
When Xol was taken to a nearby hospital on September 10, according to the police, his condition was serious but stable.

After Xol was stabbed and later died, a 34-year-old man from Cathedral City, California, named Richard Joseph Gonzales was detained on charges of attempted murder.
Gonzales reportedly put himself on the police’s radar the day Xol was found by them by calling dispatch. Gonzales stated that he had been beaten the previous evening.
After conducting additional investigation, police said they found Gonzales was a suspect in the stabbing; they then booked RG at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio, a city close to Palm Springs.
Gonzales is being held without bail at this time since the police have asked to charge him with murder.
When Xol passed away, he was 58 years old. While memorial arrangements are still unknown, friends have started to show their condolences on social media.
Richard Pérez-Feria, a friend of Xol’s, described him as a “talented, beautiful, passionate friend, brother, son and partner.”
