Apple Is Developing A Solution To Stop The Overheated iPhone 15 Devices

On Monday, Apple stated that it was attempting to resolve a “bug” that it claimed was one of the causes of some recently launched iPhone 15 cellphones overheating.

According to the Silicon Valley tech giant, the iPhone manufacturer is working with developers of select apps that contribute to the issue and will fix it in an update to its iOS 17 mobile operating program.

In answer to a question from AFP, Apple stated, “We have identified a few conditions which can cause the iPhone to run warmer than expected.”

Due to increased background activity, some recently released iPhone devices may feel warmer for a few days following initial setup, according to Apple.

Apple stated, “We have also discovered a bug in iOS 17 that is affecting some users and will be fixed in a software update.”

“An additional problem is that some third-party apps have updated recently, overloading the system.”

Online blogs stated that Instagram, Uber, and the racing game Asphalt 9 were among the apps that appeared to be causing the chips inside iPhones to overheat as a result of workloads.

Users were advised by an Apple support page that their iPhones frequently feel warm during initial setup or when using graphics-intensive programs, such as games.

“These are normal conditions. When the process is finished or you finish your activity, your device will return to a normal temperature,” the support page stated.

Following a dispute with the European Union, the Apple iPhone 15 models were released on September 22 with universal chargers in place of Lightning charger connectors.

The announcement coincides with Apple experiencing a decline in iPhone sales as consumers put off upgrading to newer models due to rising prices.

Apple noted that the iPhone 15, which comes in four variants, has internal parts that make repair easier and a new frame that makes it simple to replace the rear glass. These upgrades go hand in hand with ongoing improvements to iPhone cameras and CPUs.
