Chris Brown appears to have struck a deal with the man who sued him over an alleged nightclub fight, putting one aspect of his legal battle to rest.

According to the documents, Diaw wants it dismissed with prejudice, which means he can’t refile it, and often indicates a settlement between the parties. We don’t know if any money was transferred; we’ve contacted Chris and Abe’s attorneys.

Diaw alleged in the lawsuit that Chris not only struck him three times with the bottle of Don Julio 1942, but that when he was unconscious on the floor, Chris proceeded to “ruthlessly stomp” on him, inflicting him with long-term damage.

Assuming the judge approves the dismissal, CB will still have to deal with his criminal charges for the event. Remember, he was detained earlier this year just after arriving in the UK for his global tour; prosecutors accused him with violence and possession of a firearm.

He was eventually released on bond and appeared in court ten days ago, pleading not guilty.
