On Thursday, Louisiana State Police stated that Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, 41, had surrendered to authorities. He was charged with resisting an officer and disturbing the peace by disrupting a lawful assembly. Nantambu allegedly disrupted Lamar’s performance at the Superdome in New Orleans in February.

The LSP alleges Nantambu was the one who waved a Palestinian and Sudanese flag with the inscription “Sudan and Free Gaza” while Lamar rapped “tv off” during the Super Bowl 59 halftime show. Police believe that Nantambu was contracted by the NFL to perform during the show. However, the league did not provide him authorization to “demonstrate as he did.”

The NFL congratulated the LSP for their efforts in apprehending Nantambu, according to a statement first obtained by TMZ Sports. “We commend the Louisiana State Police for its diligence and professionalism in this matter,” the organization noted in its letter. “We take any attempt to disrupt any part of an NFL game, including the halftime show, very seriously and are pleased this individual will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

Last month, Nantambu made news after Antonio Brown allegedly attempted to murder him after a boxing match in May. Nantambu claimed it was the result of a money disagreement. Brown allegedly failed to pay up his legal debts. This obligation stems from a lawsuit filed years ago after Brown allegedly stole jewelry from Nantambu in Dubai.

Natambu said that Brown fired rounds at him in response to a debt-related statement. As of this writing (June 26), Brown is still at large. Nantambu will once again face a court battle, and the outcome will be widely watched.
