Steve Burns, the host of Blue’s Clues, is introducing a podcast that is intended to continue the education of the adults who viewed his program as children.
The podcast, Alive, will explore the concept of “adulting” and “what it means to remain human in a complex world.” The concept was inspired by the viral video Burns released in honor of the show’s 25th anniversary. In the video, Burns expressed his regret for departing the program and commended his former viewers for their successful transition into adulthood, which included managing student loans, employment, and family obligations.

“There are a thousand podcasts available for listening; this is one that responds.” I am genuinely interested in continuing the work that we began decades ago. Our primary focus was on conducting inquisitive investigations. It was about looking more closely. Regarding the appropriate inquiries.

The process of following the indications that guided us to a more comprehensive understanding. Alive is essentially a continuation of that same discourse, with the exception that we are now adults, attempting to comprehend a world that is significantly more intricate. We are still in the process of seeking, learning, and attempting to establish a connection. Burns continues, “We are still striving to live lives that are deeply examined in tandem.” “And, you know, there will be less talking furniture, sure, but we’re still going to have a lot of fun along the way.”
The podcast is scheduled to debut this autumn under the ownership of Lemonada Media. The title is now part of the podcast lineup, which includes The Pink House With Sam Smith, Fail Better With David Duchovny, Wiser Than Me With Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and more. PodX Group, a Swedish company, recently acquired Lemonada.

“Steve is the ideal individual to provide guidance to adults as they navigate life, as they require it just as much as children.” He effectively engages the inner child of his audience, eliciting feelings of inquiry, comfort, and delight. Jessica Cordova Kramer, CEO of Lemonada, stated, “We were confident that we had to collaborate with Steve from the moment we viewed his videos on TikTok during the pandemic.”
Burns is also performing a solo live performance, Steve Burns Alive, at the Club at La MaMa in New York from July 23 to 25.
