It is evident that law enforcement took Brittney Griner’s “Gay Baby Jail” note concerns seriously. A new police video, which was obtained by TMZ Sports, depicts two officers who are actively investigating the matter.
The peculiar event occurred on February 17 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland. Griner informed hotel personnel that she had discovered a handwritten message in her room that she perceived as threatening.
Two officers entered the lobby in an effort to ascertain the situation, as evidenced by body camera footage from Prince George’s County Police, mere hours after the WNBA superstar hurriedly fled the area over the letter.

The hotel staffer demonstrated the note’s appearance to them in the video before escorting them to their room via elevator.

The employee informed the authorities that the message was affixed to a door while en route. He further stated that Griner was the individual who discovered it.
Upon entering the room, the police were able to locate the “Gay Baby Jail” message and a piece of duct tape on a different door that read “Private.”

Ultimately, they determined that the messages were likely left by the previous room’s occupants, who were in town for Katsucon, a convention for Japanese pop culture enthusiasts.

One of the officers wrote in an incident report after canvassing the scene, “The meme ‘Gay baby jail’ is used among people in the culture to describe a situation in which progress through a game is impossible.” “In other words, your video game character is gay (happy), a baby (game character), and incarcerated (unable to escape).”
Nevertheless, Griner, who was in town for a scheduled speaking engagement at the Women Grow Leadership Summit, departed the city without fulfilling her speaking obligations. Summit officials did not object to this.
