Morgan Wallen has finally addressed his abrupt departure from the Saturday Night Live set.
Immediately following her appearance as the musical guest on the late-night sketch comedy show in March, the country music star was observed leaning against guest presenter Mikey Madison and whispering.
Wallen exited the stage and proceeded to walk past the camera in front of him as the credits began to roll.
The Just in Case singer addressed the controversy during a recent interview for Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley, after the behavior prompted debate on social media.

Host Pressley inquired, “Seriously, SNL, did they irritate you?”
“No, no,” responded Wallen. “I was simply eager to return home.” I had been present for the entire week.
Wallen uploaded a photograph of a private aircraft with the phrase “Get me to God’s country” in bold white text shortly after departing SNL.

Consequently, Pressley reminded the musician of the message.
In response, Wallen merely smiled and replied, “Yeah.”
Representatives from SNL and the 31-year-old have not yet provided additional commentary.
Nevertheless, Kenan Thompson, a seasoned member of the SNL cast, had previously criticized Wallen for neglecting to commemorate Madison and the other performers.
“I suppose it was just different on Saturday because it felt so abrupt.” Additionally, the group was already quite diminutive on the stage. Therefore, it was as though, “Wow, that was quite apparent.” Are you aware of my statement? At the time, he disclosed to Entertainment Weekly that it was quite conspicuous.
