Superstar wrestler Kyle Snyder, who took home the gold at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, was taken into custody last week in connection with a prostitution sting, authorities announced Monday.

In an attempt to apprehend individuals seeking to pay for sex unlawfully, law enforcement issued a phony online advertisement, which Snyder responded to at approximately 8:15 PM on May 9, according to the Columbus Police Department in Ohio.

According to police, Snyder arranged for an undercover agent to meet him at a nearby hotel, and when the agent arrived less than 30 minutes later, he paid for oral sex.
