Peacock launches a number of innovations aimed at improving accessibility and engagement, building on the popularity of its award-winning coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Fans may start playing games as soon as they launch the app thanks to the Live in Browse feature, which provides instant context through real-time insights and statistics. While the Can’t Miss Highlights playlist provides the most recent game highlights and noteworthy pre- and post-game moments, which can be accessed with a single tap to the live broadcast, Catch Up with Key Plays provides a brief summary of pivotal moments for those that join late.

Peacock also adds interactive components to increase fan involvement. By combining fantasy sports with bingo, the Peacock ScoreCard turns watching into a game-like experience. With personalized alerts, a season scoreboard that may include the usernames of top players on-air, and the ability to choose a game card based on a team or theme, fans can collect points as events progress. With its toggleable overlay of real-time statistics, the Peacock Performance View helps fans predict important moments by providing insights into player performance and game patterns.

During the second half of the season, Courtside Live makes its debut for Peacock’s exclusive Monday night games, offering an unmatched courtside experience. With adjustable watching options via Multiview on TV or mobile, this feature immerses fans in the spirit of the stadium by highlighting player entrances, pre-game shootarounds, celebrity comments, and more.

As part of an 11-year contract with the NBA, Peacock will cover Sunday Night Basketball beginning in 2026, Tuesday night regional doubleheaders, and exclusive Monday night games. Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle provide play-by-play, while analysts Jamal Crawford, Reggie Miller, and Carmelo Anthony make out the broadcast team. An AI-generated voice of former narrator Jim Fagan and the classic “Roundball Rock” theme will heighten the nostalgic appeal.

With around 100 million monthly active users, Peacock remains the industry leader in ad-supported streaming and provides a wide range of sports content, including the Olympics, Sunday Night Football, and eventually the WNBA.
