Brad Arnold, the lead vocalist of Three Doors Down, has disclosed that he has been given a stage 4 kidney cancer diagnosis.

“I’ve been sick a couple of weeks ago and then went to the hospital and got checked out,” the musician said in a video posted on his Instagram on Wednesday, sharing “some not so good news.”

At that point, Arnold “received the diagnosis that I had lung metastases from clear cell renal carcinoma.” Additionally, that is stage 4, which is not very excellent.

The singer of “Kryptonite,” who is turning to his faith, stated that he has “no fear” of receiving treatment despite the diagnosis. We worship a powerful God who is capable of conquering all obstacles. So I’m not afraid. We apologize for having to postpone our tour this summer, but I truly, truly am not afraid of it at all,” he remarked. “And if you could pray for me whenever you can, that would be wonderful.”

According to the National Cancer Institute, clear cell renal cell carcinoma accounts for almost 80% of all instances of renal cell carcinoma in adults, making it the most prevalent variety of the disease.

“Thank you for all the memories so far,” Arnold also wrote in the caption of the photo. I think “ITS NOT MY TIME” is actually my song now. Warriors, we need your prayers because this will be a battle! We appreciate you all being the world’s greatest fans. We adore you all! Brad.

Apart from Arnold, the current members of the rock group 3 Doors Down are Justin Biltonen, Greg Upchurch, Chris Henderson, and Chet Roberts. The lead singer in the Instagram video makes reference to the group’s most well-known songs, “Kryptonite,” “When I’m Gone,” “Here Without You,” “Let Me Go,” and “It’s Not My Time.”
