From Zero, Linkin Park’s fourth album, debuts at number one in the UK today.

The American rock giants’ first chart-topper with their new lineup, which includes Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, Emily Armstrong, and Colin Brittain, outsells its nearest rival by more than two to one.

Linkin Park achieved three Official Number 1 albums before the death of former lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017: Living Things (2012), Minutes to Midnight (2007), and Meteora (2003). The trio currently has an incredible 14 albums in the Top 40.

In an exclusive interview with Official Charts, Emily Armstrong of Linkin Park states:

“It’s crazy that they’re number one in the UK. Many thanks. Is there anything more important than Number 1? It’s this!

“From zero to the top! This is really unbelievable, thank you so f**king much. I’m freaking out because it’s my first Number 1! I feel that saying “thank you” is insufficient, even if I’ll say it a thousand times. I can only express my gratitude so often.

Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park adds:

From Zero, the biggest record of the last seven days on wax, is also at the top of this week’s Official Vinyl Albums Chart. Meanwhile, today marks the release of Papercuts, the group’s enduring 2024 hits collection (17).

They really are in their element! Congratulations are in order for FLO, whose debut album Access All Areas today claims the highest-charting album by a British R&B girl group in 23 years.

With their debut album, Jorja Douglas, Stella Quaresma, and Renée Downer are at number three, matching Mis-Teeq’s peak from their 2001 debut, Lickin’ On Both Sides.

K-pop powerhouse ATEEZ celebrates a fourth consecutive Top 10 album with GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2 (4), making UK chart history once more. Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho are the eight members of the South Korean group. Their previous Top 10 hits were THE WORLD EP.2: OUTLAW (10) in 2023, THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL (2), and GOLDEN HOUR: Part.1 (4) in 2024.

Last but not least, Iron Maiden’s fifth studio album Powerslave makes a comeback to the Top 40 for the first time in as many years, bouncing back to Number 33 to commemorate its 40th anniversary with a limited edition Zoetrope picture disc vinyl. When the record was released in 1984, it reached at number two.
