Charter Communications plans to extend its streaming capabilities in 2025, according to a new Bloomberg report.
The company, known by the brand name Spectrum, is the largest cable-TV provider in the United States, and according to the report, the telecommunications and media giant plans to launch a marketing campaign focusing on streaming bundles by promoting more than ten streaming platforms to help retain current subscribers and persuade new subscribers to sign up.
According to the Bloomberg story, the corporation explains why it is targeting a 2025 launch:
According to Tom Montemagno, Charter’s senior vice president of programming, the business will wait until next year because it has to incorporate some of the applications into its system. Furthermore, everyone from phone providers to grocery shops is offering free streaming services for the back-to-school and Christmas season.
To Montemagno’s point, earlier this month, Kroger, the country’s biggest conventional grocery, introduced a streaming package for Boost by Kroger Plus subscribers that includes ESPN+, Hulu, and Disney+.
Charter has had a busy summer, with Spectrum TV subscribers able to take advantage of their newest streaming offers:
Spectrum TV Select has Disney+.
Paramount+ is now available in Spectrum TV’s Select and Mi Plan Latino packages.
Spectrum TV Select users may access Peacock Premium free as part of a recent promotion.
Max and Discovery+ will also be available as part of the company’s new partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery

Companies like Spectrum and Comcast are losing a significant portion of their cable TV internet market share, which has decreased to 45% according to a recent poll of our readers. With the new streaming packages, cable TV providers want to entice consumers who are bored of paying for several streamers on top of their cable subscriptions.
By supplying more streaming material, the total cost of the streaming services that would be included would be $65 per month. Spectrum now costs roughly $120 per month for more than 150 channels, according to a Bloomberg article. As of June 2024, there are over 13.3 million pay-TV customers, representing a roughly 10% drop year over year.
Charter aims to add platforms from new Internet businesses to its list of main providers, which already include conventional media organizations. According to the source, Netflix, Apple TV+, and Amazon Prime Video would not be combined with pay-TV bundles since the corporation intends to sell them individually and provide bargains to its more than 30 million internet members.
With consumer requirements altering and cord cutting continuing on the increase, the bundle technique seems to be the new standard, and consumers can expect to see more firms include streaming deals in their subscriptions and memberships.
