Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) has increased its FAST Channel presence throughout Europe ahead of MIPCOM.

With FAST back on the table at the Cannes conference, Sony has expanded its 54-strong channel portfolio in Europe to two additional platforms: VIDAA and Titan OS.

VIDAA will offer the Sony One portfolio in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain beginning in the fourth quarter of this year, while Titan OS will debut in these same areas as well as the Nordics. In addition, TiVo+, which was introduced in April, will shortly provide Sony One channels in Austria.

Deadline reported earlier this year that SPE has debuted FAST channels in Europe, with shows such as Seinfeld, Breaking Bad, and Bewitched being accessible on the Sony One portfolio after an agreement with LG Channels, Samsung TV Plus, and TiVo+.

Sony One channels include humor, drama, and action, as well as one devoted to Shark Tank, often known as Dragons’ Den.

“We see free ad-supported television as another integral way to engage viewers with our robust film and television catalog,” says Pete Wood, SVP, Digital Sales, Distribution at SPE. “In six months since we launched the Sony One portfolio in Europe, we’ve seen a huge appetite from clients, and we look forward to continuing to grow this key distribution channel and collaborating with our partners to deliver content tailored to their audiences.”
