Sid Vicious, a WWE WrestleMania star from the 1990s, has died. He was 63.
The wrestler, born Sidney Eudy, also went by the titles Sycho Sid, Sid Justice, and Lord Humungous.
He was forced to retire from wrestling after a severe and terrible injury that was televised live in 2001, but he eventually returned to the sport.
His death was revealed on Facebook by his son, Gunnar Eudy, who wrote: “I am terribly heartbroken to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has gone away after a long battle with cancer.

Eudy, who was born in West Memphis, Arkansas, on December 16, 1960, started wrestling in 1987. He derived his most well-known wrestling identity after the Sex Pistols bassist, who died of a heroin overdose at the age of 21 in 1979.
Eudy joined World Championship Wrestling in 1989, then two years later, he was renamed Sid Justice and joined WWE, where he memorably feuded with Hulk Hogan.
Throughout the 1990s, he was one of the most well-known wrestlers, appearing on Monday Night Raw and WrestleMania.

Eudy challenged Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, and Road Warrior Animal to a Four Corners match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in a live pay-per-view in 2001. During the event, he crashed hard on his left leg, which shattered and splintered in two, nearly terminating his career. His tibia and fibula snapped, protruding through the skin, and the video was too horrific for many television stations to re-air.
However, Eudy fought his way back into the ring. After nearly three and a half years of rehabilitation and preparation, Eudy resumed wrestling in Canada in 2004. In 2012, he returned to WWE under the name Sycho Sid.
Eudy defeated Paul Rosenberg in his final Great North Wrestling contest in Ontario in 2017, at the age of 56.
WWE posted on their official Instagram page: “WWE is devastated to learn that Sid Eudy has gone away. WWE sends sympathies to Eudy’s family, friends, and fans.”
Eudy is survived by his wife Sabrina Paige and his two boys, Gunnar and Frank.
