Are you fed up with the high cost of your favorite streaming services, such as YouTube TV and Fubo, as well as cable TV providers like Comcast and Spectrum?
One of the primary reasons for price increases has been the cost of local channels such as ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC.
DISH has announced a price increase for its satellite television service. DISH cited the growing cost of local TV channels over the last five years as the reason for another increase.
In a statement outlining the reasons for the price increase, DISH blamed local TV stations. “First, the local broadcasters of ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC stations consistently compel us to pay more for their channels or threaten to remove them from our customers. The cost of these channels has increased by more than 200% in the last five years.
This issue affects not only cable and satellite TV services, but also streaming services. YouTube TV, Fubo, and other platforms have been compelled to boost their fees. Many reasons contribute to the rising cost of these services, but residents play a significant role.
