Katy Perry is in hot water and the center of an investigation after filming a music video on a beautiful beach in Spain.
Katy Perry, the pop artist, cannot seem to catch a break just now.
The singer released her second song for her upcoming seventh album 143, and it hasn’t gone over well.
Not because the song isn’t particularly fantastic or because fans didn’t like it, but due to some red tape she didn’t clear before filming the music video, which was released on August 8.
Perry’s song, Lifetimes, depicts her loving life on various beaches and locations in Spain, specifically between the islands of Ibiza and Formentera off the coast of Spain.

Perry is also shown performing in a club for the video and enjoying what appears to be a fantastic little trip.
However, it appears that the actor did not receive permission to shoot at the beach areas, and an investigation has been begun.
The Balearic Islands’ Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Natural Environment (jheeze, what a mouthful) released a statement about the probe.
They said that the music video’s production company did not seek ‘permission from the Regional Ministry to carry out the filming.’

The statement continued: “That is why preliminary investigation actions have been initiated.”
However, the ministry stressed that they did not consider Perry’s acts a ‘crime against the environment’ but rather an infringement because general shooting and recording ‘may be approved’ in the area.
However, in terms of the singer’s record, it appears that this is just another blemish in the star’s career.
Her first single from the album, Woman’s World, was not well received by some of her admirers.
Some social media users believed there was a contradiction between the song’s lyrics about female empowerment and the sexual imagery in the video.
However, critics of these statements remarked that there is nothing more feminist than choosing how you are represented in your own music.
Despite the varied reception, it appears Perry’s take on the music video was humorous, which may have gone over some fans’ heads.
In an Instagram video posted following the reaction, she stated that the video was intended to be humorous and captioned it, “YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!” “Even Satire!”
