The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper took to Instagram to announce her baby just hours after it was revealed that she had filed for divorce from her spouse Offset.
“With every ending comes a new beginning,” she wrote with two photos of herself showing off her growing belly in a stomach-baring red outfit, possibly referring to the breakup of her marriage.
“I am so glad to have experienced this season with you; you have given me more love, more life, and most importantly, regenerated my strength! reminded me that I could have it all! You have reminded me that I will never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!”
Cardi added, “I love you so much and can’t wait for you to see what you helped me do, what you pushed me to do! It’s much easier to take life’s twists, turns, and tests lying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worthwhile to persevere!”
The 32-year-old has a six-year-old daughter Kulture and a two-year-old boy Wave with her estranged spouse Offset (actual name Kiari Kendrell Cephus).
According to insiders close to the celebrity couple, their alleged breakup is ‘amicable’.
Sources have also informed TMZ that the separation was ‘not an overnight decision’, which makes sense given that whispers of the couple’s impending divorce began in December.
Cardi B revealed in a TikTok video that she had been’single for a minute’.

The artist, whose true name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, is reportedly requesting primary custody of their two young children.
The ‘WAP’ hitmaker also filed for divorce in 2020 but then reversed her decision.
Cardi’s fans and friends have been quick to convey their congratulations following the announcement of her pregnancy.
Podcaster Jason Lee wrote, “I’m so glad for you and that you’re standing strong. “Love you, sis.”
“Congrats,” said Juicy J, while English rapper Stefflon Don tweeted, “Congratulations, you look beautiful.”
One of the singer’s followers remarked, “Congrats, baby!! You look stunning, Mama. Have a safe delivery.”
“I’ve always seen Cardi work the hardest while pregnant,” said a second. “Love this for her.”
