Spotify introduced its AI DJ function in February 2023, offering a radio-like stream of music with its own artificial DJ speaking between tunes.

None of its competitors have followed suit yet, but YouTube Music looks to be working on its own version of AI radio.

A Reddit user provided a screenshot of a “Ask for music any way you like” interface on YouTube Music, describing it as an experiment. It accepts a prompt and generates a personalized radio station in response.

Tech site 9to5Google has provided more details on how this links to prior rumors about a new personalised-radio function for YouTube Music.

However, the new function has not yet been publicized or confirmed, so there is no assurance that it will be part of the commercial service.
