Julio Foolio, a Florida rapper, was fatally shot this weekend. Three more persons were hurt in the shooting.

The “Voo Doo” rapper was apparently living at a local Holiday Inn in Tampa after being thrown out of his Airbnb. According to social media posts, he had been celebrating his 26th birthday that evening, and his attorney, Lewis Fusco, alleges he was “ambushed.” Foolio advertised the party on Instagram Stories and openly published the address.

“Mr. Jones had been in Tampa to celebrate his birthday over the weekend,” Fusco stated. “According to law enforcement investigations, he initially stayed at an Airbnb but was ordered to leave after violating occupancy limitations. He later moved to the Holiday Inn, where he was allegedly accosted in the hotel parking lot.
