JJ Redick is the guy for the Los Angeles Lakers; the former NBA player was allegedly been appointed as the team’s new head coach.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news on Thursday, stating Redick was offered the job following a comprehensive interview process and has already begun forming his team.
According to reports, the Lakers interviewed Danny Hurley, James Borrego, and Sam Cassell, as well as Kenny Atkinson, Mike Budenholzer, and Ty Lue.

The news will be met with mixed reactions; after all, former hoops players were divided on whether JJ could restore the franchise’s prominence.
Longtime pro Matt Barnes earlier told us that he thought Redick was a tremendous basketball mind, but he was concerned about anyone who takes that seat, as it is a difficult position.
On the opposite side of the debate, Cleveland Cavaliers champion Channing Frye went so far as to call it a “death sentence” for Redick.
The former Duke star was the 11th overall choice in the 2006 NBA Draft… and has played for the Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Dallas Mavericks throughout his career.
