Prime Video has released the trailer for Federer: Twelve Final Days. Following its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 10, the documentary will be released in select cinemas on June 13 and on Prime Video on June 20.
The trailer lasts just over two minutes and shows Federer prepared to announce his retirement.
Joe Sabia and Asif Kapadia direct the film. Prime Video describes Federer as “an intimate follow-along through the final 12 days of Roger Federer’s illustrious career.” Originally a home video never intended for public consumption, the film depicts Federer at his most vulnerable and genuine as he bids farewell to a game and the fans that have impacted his life over the last two decades.”

The documentary features interviews with Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray.
Federer, a Swiss native, began his professional career in 1998 and will retire in 2022. He is 42.

He was onstage at the Amazon upfront presentation in New York last month, promoting the picture. “It’s been an amazing journey and I’m happy to share it,” he stated.
