Colman Domingo, an Academy Award-nominated actor, has been on a tear in Hollywood.
The acclaimed actor, whose recent works include “Rustin,” “The Color Purple,” “Sing Sing,” and “Euphoria,” will join Tina Fey and Steve Carell in Netflix’s new comedy series The Four Seasons.
The series, created by Universal Television, is based on the same-titled 1981 film. Details regarding Domingo’s character are unknown, but he will be a series regular.

Domingo recently received his first Oscar nomination for playing Bayard Rustin in Netflix’s “Rustin.” He gave a remarkable performance as Mister in Warner Bros.’ “The Color Purple.” He starred in Ethan Coen’s “Drive-Away Dolls,” and for genre aficionados, he finished an eight-season tenure on AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead.” His forthcoming projects include the prison drama “Sing Sing,” which has already received tremendous reviews for his performance. A24’s “Sing, Sing” will premiere on July 12. The Netflix limited series “The Madness” is on the horizon, as is the Michael Jackson biopic “Michael,” in which he will play the controversial family patriarch Joe Jackson. “Michael” is scheduled for release on April 18, 2025. There are high hopes that the latter will become iconic. We foresee “King Richard” vibes, albeit darker and more controversial. We’ll have to wait and watch how Domingo prepares Jackson for the big screen.
Executive producers for “The Four Seasons” are Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, Tracey Wigfield, David Miner, Eric Gurian, and Jeff Richmond. Alan Alda and Marissa Bregman will produce. Writers include Fey, Fisher, and Wigfield. Universal Television, a branch of Universal Studios Group, is producing alongside Fey’s production company, Little Stranger, Inc.
