Todd Chrisley is facing another legal and financial loss while incarcerated, this time after a federal jury ruled he defamed a Georgia Department of Revenue investigator.
According to court documents, a Georgia judge ordered Todd to pay Amy Doherty-Heinze $755,000 in compensatory and punitive damages, as well as legal fees, after determining that the reality star waged a violent social media campaign against her.

Doherty-Heinze planned to take Chrisley to court in July 2021, claiming he falsely accused her of illegally eavesdropping on a government program to obtain information on his family. Additionally, it was said that he “began a social media campaign against the GDOR and certain of its employees, contending that the investigation was illegal and improperly motivated.”

Chrisley attempted to have the entire matter dismissed two months before Doherty-Heinze filed the lawsuit, but she claims he simply continued to defame her.
Doherty-Heinze received more than $300,000 in compensatory damages and an additional $170,000 in punitive damages… and Todd must also pay their attorney fees. So, after everything is added up, the total cost of damages is $755,000.
As you are aware, Todd is currently serving a 12-year sentence at FPC Pensacola for a variety of fraud counts, while Julie is serving a seven-year sentence at FMC Lexington in Kentucky.
