Some people are disturbed by how real the hologram appears, while others think the concept is brilliant.
Biggie Smalls would have turned 50 on May 21st, but since he’s no longer with us, his celebrity friends have gone above and above to ensure his legacy is honored.
While it’s been 25 years since the “Big Poppa” rapper was fatally shot, friends like Diddy and Lil Kim have paid tribute to him, with the former even collaborating with Proto Inc. (a holoportation company that allows people to “beam” in real-time to places they can’t physically be) to create a hologram of Biggie.
Videos of the rapper’s vision started circulating on social media earlier this weekend, indicating that the life-size hologram is on display in Brooklyn, New York, where the Life After Death artist grew up.
Smalls wore Versace sunglasses, a green Sergio Tacchini tracksuit with black and white embellishments, and black and grey Air Jordan 1s on his feet, all in his distinctive style. The designers added a gold Jesus piece, a watch, and a black cap to their creation because no costume is complete without the correct accessories.

Seeing the late artist “come back to life” was upsetting to some. One person remarked, “Keep that hologram of Biggie far away from me.” “Biggie’s hologram is terrifying. I was expecting n*gga to say, “Baby Babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy “Someone else cracked a joke.
Others, on the other hand, were happy to see how realistic the image was, particularly following Dr. Dre’s success with his Tupac hologram at Coachella in 2012 β watch the video below, then scroll down to see more Twitter comments to the Biggie Smalls hologram.
